Will Glennon has been one of the faces of the BBC in the West for over 10 years. A consummate broadcaster known for his warm, friendly style, Will can be seen regularly as one of the main presenters and reporters on the flagship Points West news programme on BBC One.
Will is senior presenter on the 8pm bulletin on BBC One, launching and developing it in the West, and has also presented and reported on Inside Out West. Will has previously worked at BBC Wales in TV and Radio, in News, Sport and Entertainment, at ITV Wales, and at Riviera Radio in Monte Carlo!
Will is an experienced live performer and has reported on some of the biggest stories in the West. Will anchored Points West daily from the Gloucestershire Floods of 2007, standing at the edge of the waters alongside Huw Edwards, George Alagiah, Jon Snow and Jeremy Thompson, the biggest names in News.
But Will is equally comfortable with lighter subjects such as when launching a comedian’s attempt at the world joke record live on TV and in front of a specially invited audience.
Will has hosted many events, presented awards, opened buildings and regularly takes part in charity events. He is also a Committee Member at the Royal West of England Academy of Art.
Will is a qualified journalist and has a BSc Hons in Business and Biology. He grew up in Newport in South Wales but now lives in Bristol. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and fishing.
