Television presenter, Justina Simpson, began her career behind the camera in a production company in London, after completing a media and business degree at Manchester University, followed by a post graduate in journalism. Justina’s first role in production was as a runner on low budget gangster movie. The unknown director was Guy Ritchie and the blue print became the hit movie Lock stock and two smoking barrels.
Justina worked her way through the ranks of TV and radio to pursue her dream to be a journalist. She is now a senior correspondent and one of the main presenters on ITV. Also presenting programmes such as a series about the work of carers who devote their lives to looking after others.
TJustina has presented high profile outside broadcasts such as presenting a Christmas Special for Wales Tonight which was the biggest outside broadcast ITV Wales has ever done, linking up with the ITV network as part of their "Britain Sings Christmas" coverage.
TJustina won an ITV news award for her journalism; it was for a story about a so called talking pig! It ended up in all the national news paper on ITV's This Morning and GMTV and was broadcast right around the world. She has interviewed all kinds of people in her career from Prince Charles to Tony Blair and from Tom Jones to Rhydian!
TJustina has a passion for crime reporting she broke the story about a step father who had murdered his step daughter and was the only journalist to get an exclusive interview with the killer, helping the police catch him. This again ended up be covered around the world. She has also spent a lot of time working for ITN in London.
TShe is well know for being an excellent live presenter who isn't afraid to perform live not just doing hard news but really getting stuck into fun items and has a great on screen presence. She has a huge amount of experience at hosting events and has been called upon by big charities such as Childline Cymru, George Thomas Hospice, Ty Hafan and Disabilty Wales who have praised her with the sensitivity she shows in dealing with some of the most upsetting stories. Presenter, reporter, host, facilitator, speaker – whatever the role Justina is ‘top drawer’.
