Howard started his broadcast career at 58,000 feet onboard Concorde en route to New York, reporting for BBC Radio 5's ‘RAVE’ programme. He also reported for Radio 5's ‘The Couch Potato's Guide to Creative Leisure’ and ‘The Changing Face of Employment’. He went on to become a BBC Radio Wales Newsreader, BBC Choice presenter and guest presenter for ‘Livetime’ - Granada Breeze.
A familiar voice on Radio Wales, Howard has reported and presented for ‘Hospital Watch’; ‘Saturday Live’; ‘ Livetime’; ‘30 Something Else’; ‘On the Spot’; ‘Seasons’; ‘Royal Appointment’; ‘The Perfect Day - Millennium Music Live’; ‘The Big Buzz’; ‘Four Star’; ‘Cashback’; and’ Showtime’ from the International Festival of Musical Theatre.
Howard is never very far away from live action and, not being one to turn down a challenge, in 1998 he ran the New York Marathon with Simon Weston OBE reporting for BBC Choice Wales and BBC Radio Wales. Shortly after he was live 200 feet beneath the Champagne region of France surrounded by 25 million bottles reporting for Radio Wales' ‘Livetime’ programme.
He was back in New York a year later with Radio Wales to cover the launch of the NY Social Welsh & Sexy Club.
Howard was BBC Wales' live man inside the Millennium Dome on Millennium Eve, presenting with Stephen Fry and Heather Small of M people.
Howard has presented two successful TV travel series called ‘Village People’ as well as ‘Textured Lives’ and has also narrated the ‘Inspirations’ series. He has hosted his own live phone-in programme for BBC Wales and is a television and corporate voice-over artist.
Howard is an Event MC and Auctioneer. He has hosted major BBC Events, Theatre Variety Performances, Corporate and Governmental Conferences, Summits, Fashion Shows and Award Ceremonies.
