Bob Constantine is known to viewers as one of Bristol’s ITV West most popular presenters over the last twenty years.
Bob was born in Yorkshire and was educated at the Leys School in Cambridge and attained a BA Joins Hons from Bristol University. Bob joined the Jersey Evening Post as a trainee reporter, from where he later attained his NCTJ certificate.
Bob moved to the Bath Evening Chronicle as a general reporter, becoming News Editor the following year. Bob was offered a job at HTV (now ITV West Country) which was the start of a very successful television career.
Bob specialised in business and politics and, besides presenting the news, he presented a political discussion programme.
Bob frequently reported ‘live’ from high profile events so is well used to thinking on his feet, speaking off the cuff and dealing with large audiences.
Bob’s experience and excellent presentational skills makes him much in demand for hosting award ceremonies and conferences; chairing debates and Q&A sessions and facilitating. He has a particularly good, rich, speaking voice that commands the attention of his audience.
Bob has a wide range of interests, including the Arts (particularly theatre); reading, travel and cricket. Bob does a great deal of work for his chosen charities.
